Because the research points to the pair, not to either one alone.
They were chosen together. University of Texas researchers screened more than 140 natural compounds and picked curcumin and ursolic acid as the pair to study, because in their laboratory work the two worked better together than either one alone. Why that matters: you are getting the combination the research selected, not two popular ingredients put in one bottle.
Curcumin helps the body take in ursolic acid. In a published study in healthy men, ursolic acid blood levels were about 16 times higher when it was taken with curcumin than alone, and both were safe and well tolerated at our amounts. Why that matters: ursolic acid on its own is poorly absorbed, so most of it never reaches the bloodstream.
Each brings its own support. Curcumin has dozens of human trials behind antioxidant support, a healthy inflammatory response, joint comfort and recovery after exercise.* Ursolic acid, from apple peel and rosemary, adds its own antioxidant activity.* Why that matters: one daily formula covers support you would otherwise buy separately.
The form matters. Curcumin is poorly absorbed on its own, so we use a lipid softgel. Why that matters: a dose that is not absorbed does nothing for you.
Our formula uses the same daily amounts and ratio studied: 1,200 mg curcumin and 300 mg ursolic acid, 4 to 1.
